A Change of Gear

Despite my early entry about my gaming style, I've actually changed my play style and have decided to work through a mission only game plan to make my ISK. Something I am glad i have done.
While playing Eve you get used to seeing the same ships, gates and stations. but the missions give you more of a look into the games intricacy that the developers have put into the game.
I was blown away by the extra little things they put into the game.
This is a completely different station that i stumbled across in one of my missions.
The scale of these stations immense. The small square on the left is my ship and that is not even visible in comparison to the station.

We Do Our Best

EVE Online is a pretty unique game. It and its unified, always-on player base manage to do things in their gameworld that few MMOs, nay, few games barely conceive. It's intimidating as all hell, but damn if it isn't fascinating. Just like their latest way of helping Japan out in the wake of the massive earthquake.
Rather than asking their players to donate boring-ol' money through external sources, developer CCP Games has found a way to take advantage of EVE's fully-fledged in-game economy, by accepting donations of PLEX, the real-world value of which is converted into cash and donated to the Red Cross.
"What's PLEX", you ask? Standing for "Pilot License EXtension" it's basically an in-game item that can be redeemed for game time. The fun part about PLEX is that it can be bought with ISK, EVE's in-game currency. Thus, players that earn a lot of ISK through their in-game businesses and activities can effectively pay for their subscriptions by playing the game itself.
Which basically means that pilots making mad bank in virtual space can use said bank to help people in the real world. It's gamification at its best.

My way in the skyway

from day one of eve its prity much go go go, but as time goes on you can end up goin down one of two paths, either the missions and PvPing were its a shooting contest. or, the industrial and marketing route.
I found myself goin down the industrial and marketing route also known in the eve universe as "Carebareing", i find i spend most of my time scouring the markets for blueprints of ships that i can make and try and make a profit on after havesting and production. its the lazy mans way of making money and its just the way i like it.

eve story

I play a mmo called Eve Online. its a game i have been fanatical about for many years.
After 1 month and several ship losses i awas asked to join a small corp to get my on the road to the big time.
this is my very first mining op with my new corp.

the ship in the center is a Orca, it is a industrial carrier capable of carrying vast amounts of minnarals.
the yellow lines are coming from smaller industrial ships being mining barges the yellow lines are the miners themselves.
at the min i am saving up my minarals that i have mined for a special event not decided yet.
